Trust tax changes · Online intake
Trust restructuring intake, reviewed by a Melbourne structuring lawyer.
Tell us about the trust, what it holds, who it is for and which way you are leaning. A CMK Legal structuring lawyer reads it, raises what matters, and comes back to you with a fixed fee before any work starts. Nothing is transferred and nothing is elected on the strength of this form.

Before you start.
The proposed 30% minimum tax on discretionary trusts is before Parliament and is not yet law. The roll-over window would not open until 1 July 2027 and the fixed-share election could not be made until 1 July 2028. This intake is the first step, so the deed, the elections and the assets are understood before any decision is made. It does not commit you to anything.
◆Have the trust deed, any deeds of variation, and the last set of financial statements nearby. You do not need to upload them here; we will ask for them once we have read this.
